Introduction The Roma population constitutes the largest ethnic minority in Spain (more than 2% of population), with our country having third total world. concept health and disease varies sociocultural context. It is important to know cultural characteristics exercise good clinical practice. stigma surrounding mental illness widely known, even stronger community, leading marginalization shame. Objectives We present a case gypsy woman misdiagnosed from age 8 hebephrenic schizophrenia. Methods Patient frequents emergency department symptoms predominantly anxiety, including episodes psychomotor agitation, self-harm, verbalization visual hallucinations mystical-religious nature. In treatment antipsychotics since diagnosis, no therapeutic adherence. observed during all how anxiolytic treatment, even, sometimes, verbal restraint, make subside. Psychotic over years are ruled out. Results Due this patient has been relegated she not married or had children (an milestone culture), generated an exponential increase anxiety home problems.
